Android 4.3 Sound Bug
We've been experiencing some issues with sounds stopping on some 4.3 systems. These are caused by a bug in the Android system:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/08/14/bug-watch-android-4-3-automatic-looping-of-sounds-with-soundpool-is-broken-may-cause-some-games-and-apps-to-be-eerily-quiet/
It will be fixed in next system update. I'm trying to find a workaround to make it work before that.
For now, here are things you can do if you are affected:

For now, here are things you can do if you are affected:
- Use Android version 4.2.2 for now.
- Upgrade to latest custom 4.3 (quite complicated).
- Wait for us to find a workaround.
- Wait for google to release official update (should be soon, you can check for it in Settings->About device->System update menu)

Beta Testing and New Screenshots!
Our apologies that things have taken longer than anticipated to get a new release out. We've been so busy with our other lives, that we've only been able to work on Train Driver and the little spare time we can scrounge. But, we do have some new content in the beta testing version! just sign up here: https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/118303589166171366782 and follow the instructions. We appreciate any and all feedback, so we can make Train Driver even better. Yes, we know the Polish conductor is awful! We'll get there (even if I have to record myself *shudder*). We also need a new horn. the current one sounds terrible!
Anyway, here's a taste of what's going to come in version 1.2

New Bug: Forcing close on start up
We've had a couple crash reports involving force close on start up. On our end, it looks like a part of the programming language is missing on the device. We've started looking into the issue, and at first glance it appears Train Driver is incompatible with Android 2.2 and below.
We've looked at how to force incompatible phones to be unable to buy the app, but wouldn't work it out. We can do it for individual devices, but not whole Android versions. For now, we'll settle for telling you here and on the Google Play store.
We will continue looking into the error though, and hopefully this will be fixed in future versions of Train Driver. We appreciate your patience with this matter.

Current projects
Since we released the last update, we have:
-implemented imports of outside models, rather than coding them.
-allowed visual cues for being cleared to leave the station when device is on silent.
-a more evil scoring system, you now get penalised for braking too harshly when stopping.
What we want to get done for the next update:
-switches, parallel tracks , other trains waiting at stations.
-speed limits around tighter curves.
-including a station on the left side of the tracks in the tutorial ride
-improving tutorial with better explanation of speed limit signs.
-a few more scenery models to make things more interesting
What we want to do for the update after that:
-implementing lay-bys for players to pull into and wait while automated train go past.
-hills and mountains.
-a few hand crafted tracks with specific challenges.
